Chris Lovell wins the double at Ledbury Summer Series

Posted by Jules exall on

Sunday 13th September saw the last round of the Ledbury Summer Series. The Series held at the ever popular Ledbury Track was over 6 rounds, with 4 rounds to count – and it was for both 8th and 10th scale – and was a mixture of nitro and electric.

Team RCPB was represented by Chris Lovell in both 1/8th and 1/10th classes running electric and by Alex Page, Andy Prosser, Simon White and Ben Billing in the 1/8th Series running nitro.

The day’s events being round 6 of the series was TQ’d and won by Ben Billing driving his Mugen MBX7r powered by Bullitt 220, and 4 of the RCPB drivers made the A Final, Simon finishing 4th Chris coming in 5th on the day and Alex just behind him in 6th. Andy started 4th  in the B finishing 5th just missing the bump and took 16th overall in the series, fantastic improvement with his Radiosistemi RR8/ Bullitt 220 Combo. All drivers finishing the series in fine style, well done to Ben,Simon, Andy and  Alex on a very good finish to the series once again.

Special Congratulations to Chris who took the 1/ 8th series using his Team Orion/ Tekin powered Kyosho MP9e, despite not having the best of finals on the day, still winning the championship, adding to his ever growing collection of trophies from the summer.

Even better for RCPB and for Chris who also took the 1/10th series by 1 point from Nathan Powney using his Kyosho ZX6, the championship going down to the wire and the pair both battling hard for the series.

Well done to Ledbury for a great Series and to all the RCPB drivers!
