This weekend the sun was shining on the guys and gals of the RCPB race team. At Ledbury we had Chris Lovell in E-buggy, and Andy Prosser, Simon White, Simeon White, Simon Davies and Rich Price in Nitro.
Chris Lovell was exceptionally fast with his ebuggy, having some great qualifiers and just missing out on the top spot, he came in 2nd just 3.5s of FTD. Another solid drive by Chris and his RC Concepts powered Mugen MBX7r Eco!
Rich Price was debuting his Sworkz Evo II LE and also his Ielasi Tuned engine, and the package was working well. He managed pole in the B and a very fine 9th overall. Simon White was also on a roll with his Mugen, he managed a superb 10the overall just behind Rich. Simeon also found his pace, with some great rounds, putting him just ahead of Simon Davies and his RR8, both so close, with less than a second between them, with Simeon 19th and Si 20th. Andy and his Sworkz were only a few seconds behind them finishing 25th overall, his car pictured below.
First up in the C final we had Andy, Simeon and Simon Davies. Simeon had an issue and dint start the race leaving Andy and Simon to do battle. Andy had a brilliant race, he went from 8th with his Bullet powered Sworkz to battle for the bump, he managed a fantastic 4th. Simon drove hard in the midfield, eventually finishing 7th.
In the B final we had Rich Price on pole, and Simon just behind 2nd on the grid. They would have a great on track rivalry, similar pace and lines, Rich pulled away and took a fine win and the bump to the A, a great start with the new ride for Rich. Simon also managed a great finish of 3rd, narrowly missing the final bump spot.
Onto the A final, Chris and Rich representing! Both drivers were off the line quick and Rich managed a few places, he went on to drive a blinder and finished a very fine 5th. Chris also had a great race, he was at the pointy end the whole race and only due to a small glitch on the line he finished 3rd. A great end to the day! Well done to Chris on another podium.
Down at Pembrey in south Wales we had Ben Billing and Milan Dragojlovic – on the newly refurbished dirt track.
Ben running his Nova Rossi powered Sworkz put in a fine display and came in 3rd for the finals. Milan and his Kyosho MP9 was on point as always, he got the TQ, with a tremendous fastest lap of the day. They would both be fighting for the win in the A final on the grippy, fast track. Ben had a great final bringing the Sworkz home in 4th. Milan had an awesome race, his MP9 looking at home on the dirt, after a great battle with the other top racers he managed to bring home the win. Well done Milan on another TQ and win.
Another great weekend for the team! As always all the kits, engines, fuel, bearings etc are available from RCPB, check out the website or you can catch us trackside next week at the 1/8th national at the brilliant Kent track. We will be fully stocked with tyres, fuel, spares and accessories!
Until next weekend – EAT,SLEEP,RACE, REPEAT!!!!!!!!!
